Juan Silva Garza, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed into his eternal rest on Thursday, November 8, 2018. He was born in Alice, Texas on September 17, 1950 to Santos and Juan Garza, Sr.

He worked as a pipeline heavy equipment operator in the oilfield industry. He was a hands-on kind of man, enjoying hobbies of hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren; especially spending time with family and friends.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Adan Garza.

Cherishing his memory are his children, Juan, III (Blanca) Garza, Santos (Stephanie) Garza, and Veronica G. Jones, all of Orange Grove, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; one brother, Israel (Irene) Garza of Alice, Texas; five sisters, Alicia Sanchez of Ohio, Aurora Silva, Julia Rodriguez, Delia Contreras and Ofelia Garza, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Holy Rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m., followed by celebration of Funeral Mass with Father Pete Elizardo as celebrant at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Healthy Horizons Home Health for the compassionate care our father received.

A special thank you to Father Pete Elizardo and Mark Joseph from St. Joseph Catholic Church for their love, prayers, support and the many visits that helped to comfort our father as well as our family during this difficult time.
