Morris West Curry, age 85, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Morris was born on November 4, 1933 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Mary and Ollie Curry.
He was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He worked as a tool pusher in the oilfield industry and retired at 82 years of age. He was a member of Morningside Drive Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to laugh! He especially enjoyed gardening and watching football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Beverly Curry; as well as one sister and three brothers.
Morris is survived by one son, Wesley (Gayle) Curry of Springtown, Texas; four daughters, Phyllis (Ernest) Kohler of Alice, Texas, Sandra (Edward) Coatney of Box Elder, South Dakota, Michele (Harry) Grossman of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Melisa “Lisa” (Danny) Broesche of Hondo, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and acquaintances.
Visitation with Family receiving Friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Mache’s restaurant in Alice; they always treated him like family. And thanks to Healthy Horizons Hospice, especially Nurse Betty and Gabby, for their amazing care and compassion shown to our beloved father.
