Sheila Sue Slaughter

Sheila Sue Slaughter entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was 36. She was born on November 29, 1981 in Kingsville, Texas to Wesley and Mildred Jenkins Slaughter.

She graduated from Texas A&M-Kingsville with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She was a high school teacher for the Kingsville Independent School District for eight years. Sheila was currently pursuing her master's degree in Business. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, online gaming, watching her favorite movie, Alice in Wonder Land and she especially loved helping kids.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Huston and Leona Jenkins, Henry and Francis Slaughter, sister, Melanie Ann Slaughter, two uncles, Andrew Jenkins and Cory Jenkins, and her aunt, Alberta Romero and her loving dog, Sadie.

Sheila will be dearly missed by her parents, Wesley & Mildred Slaughter of Bishop, Texas and her beloved cat, Cartman, and puppy, Maddison.


Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, Texas. A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice, Texas with Tim Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Realitos Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
