Robert “Bobby” K. Holladay age 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 23, 2020. He was born in Fresno, California on October 7, 1959 to Harvey and Ruby Thomas Holladay.
In his early years, Bobby was an adventure seeker and life of the party; which led him to bull riding, getting into trouble, and creating funny stories he loved to tell. This fun loving spirit earned the admiration of his wife, Ginger, who loved both his wild spirit and the loving family man he became.
He was an oil and water storage construction worker by trade. After his retirement, Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching professional bull riding every Sunday on TV, and spending quality time with his family making everyone laugh, especially his grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “Papa”.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Holladay and sister, Rebecca Adkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ginger Gail Holladay of Sandia, TX; three daughters, Misty Dawn (Julian Watts) Holladay of Olathe, KS, Brandy Marie (Ben) Barney of Manvel, TX, and Tonya Gail (Dylan) Smothers of Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren, Preston Tyler Holladay, Zoie Jeane Bates, Kyla Rae Smothers, and Lane Clyde Smothers; and sisters, Kathy Holladay Hasbrouck of Liberty, NY, and Harvelina Holladay of Lubbock, TX..
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Holmgreen Mortuary, with a luncheon gathering to follow in the DuPree Fellowship Hall at Holmgreen Mortuary.
