Aurora (Guerra) Trejo

Aurora Trejo, age 97, entered into her loving Father’s arms on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Alice, Texas.

She was born in Alice, Texas to Guadalupe and Ambrosio Guerra on November 8, 1921.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and cooking for her family. She loved listening to the radio and volunteering at her church and helping her community in any capacity.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Octavio Trejo; one daughter, Hilma Trejo; two brothers and three sisters; three grandsons, one great-grandson, and one great-great grandson.

She will be dearly missed by her five children: Hilda Fritzler, Gloria Vera, Leonel (Lelly) Trejo, Ruben (Esmeralda) Trejo, and Jolly (Carlos) Valadez; nineteen grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Susie Torres, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Alice. Interment will follow at New Collins Cemetery.
