Betty Louise Hobbs

Betty Louise Hobbs passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The prayers from her grandson and the love of her family gave her the peace that she needed in her heart.

She was born in Alice on October 22, 1947 to Bertha and Joseph Guttery. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She was an Activities Director, worked for A&A Answering Service, and had worked for the Alice Echo News for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marlin Hobbs, her son, William Joseph Hobbs, and a sister, Mary Todd.

Betty is the beloved mother of Elizabeth (Jesse) Benavides of Alice and Marlo (Richard) Munoz of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Daniel Munoz, Mark Munoz, Jonathan Munoz, Monica Rios, and Tiffany Hobbs; five great-grandchildren, Jerimiah Benavides, Jedidiah Benavides, Terik Garcia, Tevin Garcia, and Mina Hobbs.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Brother Harold Roan officiating. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.
