Brenda Joyce (DeLaune) Timmons

Brenda Joyce Timmons, age 68, of Sandia, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

She was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on December 2, 1950.

Brenda was married to John Timmons on March 3, 1972; they were married 46 years.

She taught her sons the importance of family and the value of true friends. She enjoyed watching the Astros and the Aggies, as well as spending time outside at her home on the lake. She lost her battle with colon cancer, but won the war, as she is now at peace in heaven, rejoined with John.

Brenda is survived by her children, Nathan Timmons (Romy) and Mathew Timmons (Kelly); her grandchildren, Madison Timmons, Cameron Timmons, Peyton Timmons, Emily Timmons, and Luke Timmons; her parents, Bernie and Wanda DeLaune; her siblings, Mark DeLaune (Ginger), Lee DeLaune (Ginger), Lou Ann Fisher (Craig), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, John Timmons.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 501 E. Second St., Alice, Texas. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.
