Kenneth Wayne Juranek, a loving son, brother, husband, father, and Popo, went to his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the age of 63.
He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 29, 1955 to Georgia and William Juranek.
Kenneth graduated from Texas A & I University-Kingsville with a Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for FESCO Ltd. for 29 years as an engineer. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, watching Dallas Cowboys football, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, Texas and Knights of Columbus Council # 13683.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Adolph Juranek, and brother, William Juranek.
Kenneth will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Shelley Juranek of Alice; four children, Cassy (Jacob) Sanchez of Seguin, Matthew Juranek of Vietnam, Andrew (Shelby) Phillips of Orange Grove, and Natalie Juranek of New Braunfels; Popo’s cherished grandchildren are Anabelle Sanchez, Jayden Sanchez, Jovani Sanchez, Hailey Sanchez, and Teagan Phillips; his mother, Georgia Juranek of Shiner; four brothers, Robert Juranek of Shiner, Ronnie Juranek of Kingsville, Tom Juranek of The Woodlands, Andrew Juranek of College Station; his sister, Rose Rudolph of Wimberley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and his many friends.
Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 immediately followed by Funeral Mass at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 400 Simmons Ave., Agua Dulce, Texas. Services will conclude at the church.
