Ned Long

Ned Long, age 64, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 in Alice, Texas. 

He was born to Rosa Lee and Marvin Long in Alice, Texas on August 1, 1954. Ned was pre-deceased by both his parents and his brother, Cooper Long.

Ned worked at the Bowden Ford dealership for 29 years. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman; he liked barbecues, going to Harbor Playhouse to watch shows, attending and watching all sorts of sporting events, and spending time with family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ned is survived by his wife, Cathy Long of Alice, Texas; his two sisters, Sue (Dan) Stewart of Schertz, Texas and Rosemary (Ronnie) Skarke of La Porte, Texas; his significant other, Judy Grossman of Alice, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and his Bowden Ford family.

Visitation with family receiving friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. Services will conclude at the chapel.
