Raul R. Valdez, Jr.

Raul R. Valdez, Jr., age 67, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

Raul was born on August 16, 1951 to Ofelia and Raul Valdez, Sr. in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Always generous, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He had worked in the oilfield industry. He was an avid Cowboys fan and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Serafin Valdez, Leonides Valdez, and Eleazar Valdez.

Raul leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Yolanda Valdez of Alice; three children, Yvonne Motz of San Antonio, Raul (Donna) Valdez, III of Alice, and Debra Ann (Amando) Salaiz of Alice; six grandchildren, Pablo Fernandez, III, Alexandra Valdez, Nikolas Garza, Leann Yvette Valdez, Alayna Sofia Valdez, and Matthew Raul Valdez; three brothers, Joe (Rocio) Valdez of Alice, Crispin Valdez of Alice, Victor (Irene) Valdez of San Antonio; five sisters, Angelita (Alonzo) Garza of Driscoll, Frances Valdez of Alice, Ernestina Banda of Alice, Josie (Lazaro) Juarez of San Antonio, and Ofelia (Raul) Noyola of San Antonio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Holy Rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice with Father Pete Elizardo as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Alice, Texas.
