Antonio Garza, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on December 24, 1935, to Felix Garza and Doratea Caronia Garza in Alice, Texas.
Antonio was a shy person by nature. However, he still enjoyed life so much with family by his side by spending time at all family gatherings and many at the beach and church gatherings. Antonio was a true family man who was always present in his family’s lives. He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lamar Gonzalez Garza; parents Felix and Doratea Garza; son, Juan Antonio; and siblings Maria Louisa Cisneros, Roberto Garza, Dora Anzaldua, Delia Gonzalez, Minerva DeAnda, Richard Garza and Lina Espindola.
He is survived by his loving children, Sylvia Garza (Jaime), Maria Elena Pena (Anthony), Jose Angel Garza, Mary Olson, Elma Cantu (Candido) and Jesus Garza; Seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Yolanda Ynfante and Lydia Gonzalez (Ramon); daughter-in-law Irene Olivarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
