Belia Garcia

Belia Garcia, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Ben Bolt, Texas on December 25, 2023. She was born on October 16, 1942 in Alice, Texas to Gerardo and Hermina Solis. Belia showed the extent of loyalty by working in the same building for 53 years, first with Davis Furniture then at Edwards Furniture. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and person. Belia enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, she is someone who embraced life to the fullest and she was always fun to be around. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Jose Alonzo Garcia Sr., son Jaime Adrian Garcia; parents Gerardo and Hermina Solis and her sister Esther Garcia.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, son Jose Alonzo (Rebecca) Garcia Jr., and Javier (Reba) Garcia; grandchildren Jaime Garcia, Jaycee Salinas, and Paisley Faith Garcia; siblings Jesus (Petra) Solis, Dalia Trejo, Elisa Perez, and Maria Fonseca, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St., Alice, TX.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in Ben Bolt, Texas followed by Rites of Christian Burial at Calaveras Cemetery.
