Betty Jo Estrada

Betty Jo Estrada, age 62 passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her, on Monday, September 11, 2023 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born March 13, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Frank Garcia, Sr. and Elisa Soliz.

We truly lost a wonderful, kind hearted, loving, funny, amazing mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Betty Jo’s pass times were playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, crafting and making costumes for family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, bar-b-queing and taking care of everyone. Betty Jo was known by many as their second mom, as she never turned anyone away.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Alejandro C. Estrada, Sr; her parents and brother, Ernesto Garcia.

Betty Jo is survived by her children, Alma Rosa (Aldo) Gonzales, Sr., Elisa (Matthew) Rudel, Sophia (Jesse) Leos all of Corpus Christi, Texas and Alejandro Estrada, Jr. of Fort Drum, New York; grandchildren, Aldo Gonzales, Jr., Alex Gonzales, Adrian Gonzales, Rylen Leos, Charlotte Rudel, Brady Rudel, Emma Leos and Hazel Leos; sisters, Janie Casanova and Bertha Flores both of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Frank Garcia, Sr., Juan Garcia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St. Alice, Texas 78332. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A Reception will follow at Holmgreen Mortuary.
