Billy Floyd Talkington

Billy F. Talkington, 81, of Alice, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1943 in Beeville, Tx.

Billy proudly served his country as a U.S. Air Force veteran and dedicated over 30 years of service as a firefighter at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family above all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; sons, Bill and his fiancée LaDonna, and Kevin and his wife Juana; and grandchildren, Summer and Wade. He is also survived by his brothers-in- law, Jim and Harry; sisters-in-law, Nita, Anna Mae, Sarah, Annette, and Sylvia; numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friend, Beto Saenz.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Madelyn Talkington; sister, Priscilla Talkington; parents-in-law, Floyd and Mary; brothers-in-law, Robert Lee, Teddy, Jenks, George, and Donald; sister-in-law, Georgie; nieces, Kayla and Tina; and nephews, Mike and Bo.

The family is not planning a memorial at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Billy’s heart.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main Street, Alice, Texas.
