Charles Peyton Randolph, age 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. He had been living with his wife, Connie, at Valley View Assisted Living under hospice care and passed peacefully in his sleep with Connie by his side.
Charles grew up in Freer, Texas, and was a proud Buckaroo. He attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and spent a short time coaching before beginning a long career in the oil and gas industry in the Freer area, where he also operated several of his own businesses. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed golfing regularly until just a few years ago. He took great joy in hearing about his grandchildren’s adventures and loved walking his dog, Bear, around the neighborhood when he and Connie lived in Alice.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd, his mother, Joan, and his brother, Richard (Dick) Randolph of Denver, Colorado. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joey Lynn, and his granddaughter, Madison Peyton.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Connie; his son, John of Harlingen; and his grandsons Joel Randolph Montfort (Dallas, TX), Matthew David Randolph (Lawrence, KS), Evan John Randolph (Harlingen, TX), and Jason Aaron Randolph (Los Fresnos, TX).
A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a brief Chapel Service at 12:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main Street Alice, Texas. Followed by Burial at Alice Cemetery.
