Chip A. Adams

Chip A. Adams, age 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021, in Alice, Texas.

He was born on June 24, 1964, to Horace Alvin Adams and Charley Aredelle (Todd) Adams in Alice, Texas.

Chip was a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and good friend. Most importantly, he was a loving father and husband. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a 1982 Alice High school graduate who loved cruising on a motorcycle.  He is best known for his witty sense of humor, always having a sarcastic comment or comeback.  Chip enjoyed the outdoors, hunting deer, shooting guns and spending time with his family. Chip valued the 37 years he was a part of the Dixie Iron Works family.

He was preceded in death by, his father, Horace Alvin Adams; brother-in-law, Dale Bunch; and nephew, Nick Adams.

Survivors left to cherish his memories are the love of his life of 30 years, Laura Shanks Adams of Orange Grove, Texas; children, Aubrey Adams of Calallen, Texas and Auston Adams of Orange Grove, Texas; mother, Charley Adams of Alice, Texas; siblings, Cindy Bunch of Alice, Texas, Carol (David) Weiland of Mathis, Texas, Carla (Steve) Meyer of Rivera, Texas, Cristy (Steve) Powell of Rockport, Texas, Chuck (Darla) Adams of Buda, Texas, and Conni Adams of Alice, Texas; mother-in-law, Janice Shanks of Calallen, Texas; brothers-in-laws, Eric (Amy) Shanks of Alice, Texas and Dillon Shanks of Corpus Christi, Texas;  and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 24, 2021, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A Christian Burial will follow at the Adams Cemetery.
