Connie Williams Obituary

Connie Gayle Dunk Williams, age 68, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 1, 1952 in Smithville, Texas to Leonard Leon and Leona Irma Noack Dunk.

Connie grew up in Aransas Pass, TX and graduated from Aransas Pass High School class of 1970. She went on to attend college at Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Tx. On October 25, 1977 she welcomed her only son, Alvin E. “Trey” King III. Connie married her loving husband, Michael B. Williams on May 13, 1984 at Faith Lutheran Church in Aransas Pass, TX. On March 25, 1986 she welcomed her only daughter, Amanda Gayle Williams.

She was a dedicated servant of God and served in many church activities in her life while living in Rockport, several years in Alaska, and Refugio. Connie never met a stranger, loved people and everyone she met.

On October 9, 2005 she welcomed her only granddaughter, Autumn Marie Williams; followed by the birth of her only grandson, James Michael Rian Williams on February 25, 2008. She dedicated the rest of her life to being the best Nana ever.

Connie also enjoyed working with her plants and flowers and spending time with family and friends. She was an amazing, loving, and caring wife, mother, nana, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Eleanor and John Williams; sister-in-law, Judy Williams; brother-in-law, Patrick B. Williams; and many special family members who welcomed her into Heaven.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Michael B. Williams of Bishop, TX; son, Alvin E. “Trey” King III (Floie Maldonado) of San Diego, TX; daughter, Amanda Gayle Williams, granddaughter, Autumn Marie Williams, and grandson, James Michael Rian Williams all of Portland, TX; “Nana loved you to the moon and back”; adopted daughters that she loved as her own, Christina Moreno of Portland, TX and Pauline Capistran of Refugio, TX; brother-in-law, Arden Williams of St. Louis, MO; special aunts, Thelma Kieschnik of Winchester, TX and Ann (Foster) Mier of Azle, TX; uncle, Lee Perkins of Winchester, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Holmgreen Mortuary, located at 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 801 E. Main St, Bishop, TX, officiated by Rev. Matthew Ulmer. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I37, Corpus Christi, TX.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
