Cresencio Rogelio Ramos

Cresencio Rogelio Ramos entered into eternal rest on December 29, 2024. Rogelio was born in Springfield, Texas on May 5, 1952 to Manuel and Angelica Ramos.

Rogelio enjoyed being at the rancho raising chickens and pigs. Together with his wife, he taught his children how to make pan de polvo and tamales.  His hobbies included gardening, barbecuing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jacob Ramos; granddaughter, Brianna Sosa; sisters, Anna Ortiz and Viola Pash; brother, Manuel Ramos Jr., and sister-in-law, Norma Ramos.

He is survived by his wife, San Juanita Ramos; sons, Juan Rogelio Ramos (Soledad), Rocky Lee Ramos (Jessica), and Tyler Hughes; daughters, Annette Ramos, Annabel Roldan (Jerry), Melba Sosa (Tony), Yvonne Barrera (Edward), and Becky Rendon (Roman).  His 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren will miss him dearly.  He is also survived by 8 sisters, 1 brother, 2 aunts, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E Main St. Alice, TX with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Francis de Paula, 401 S. Victoria Street, San Diego, Texas all services will conclude at the church.

Pallbearers:  Juan Rogelio Ramos Jr., Jerry Roldan Jr., Jacob Roldan, Tony Sosa Jr., Ernest Sosa, Edward Barrera III, Joshua Rendon and Rocky Lee Ramos Jr.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
