Curline R. Stanley

Curline R. Stanley, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022. 

She was born on March 9,1927 in Floresville, Texas to Katy Schmidt Risley and John Risley.  She worked for many years at H.E.B. and enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her four-legged babies (cats).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Louis Stanley; son, Jack Stanley; brothers, Carl Risley and Elmer Risley; sister, Leona Risley Whitson; and great grandson, Zander Bates.

Curline is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Don) Abbott of Plainfield, IN. and Sue Atkinson of Tilden, TX; six grandchildren, Ellen (Greg) Atkinson of Tilden, TX, D.W. (Jill) Atkinson of Tilden, TX, Brandi (Jim) Bates of Plainfield, IN, Stanley (Cherise) Abbott of Camby, IN, Teresa DeWilde of New York City, NY, and Louis D. Stanley of Park City, Utah; six great grandchildren, Peyton Atkinson, Erin Atkinson, Madeline Bates, Nathan Hisamoto, Garrett Hisamoto, and Jax Hisamoto; sister, Lorene (Fred) Beicker; two brothers, Frank (Toni) Risley of Poteet, TX and John Risley of Alice, Tx; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas officiated by Kathleen Kasper.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
