Daniel Davila was a stranger to no one. This beloved father, son, and brother was truly a light in a world full of darkness. The impact felt on Tuesday morning, December 12th, 2023, as he left his earthly body and entered into the kingdom of heaven is immeasurable. He was a native of Alice, Texas, born on September 16th, 1960, at Alice P & S hospital & raised in the hub city, where he put family above all else. Daniel was a giver. He was a good man and an incredible father. He was not just a son to his mother. He was her best friend. Our hearts shatter at the thought of never again hearing his laugh, seeing his smile, or feeling the warmth of his hugs.Daniel was a truck driver for over 30 years of his life, who loved to travel and have long conversations. When he wasn't on the road, you would find him with Olga, his mother, at Mi Familia restaurant, chatting with every employee and guest in the area. He was a fierce protector, a loyal friend, and will be dearly missed by many. He would give you the shirt off his back, and he would pull over to help a stranger in need. He would give you the last of his money to make sure you had what you needed. He was truly a gift from God.
He was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Gilberto Davila Jr. and Ricardo Davila.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Olga Garcia Norton, his son- Adrian Davila & family, his brothers, David Davila of Corpus Christi, and Michael Norton (Jennifer Cardona Norton) of Alice, wife of the late Ricardo Davila, Hilda Gonzalez Davila, and several nieces and nephews.
