Darla Gail Lee

Darla Gail Lee, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at her home in Freer, Texas. She was born November 28, 1941 in Freer, Texas to Woodorow Whiederkehr and Mettie Goff Whiederkehr.

Darla worked for Celanese Chemical Plant for many years before she ventured to pursue her love for gardening and became the proud owner of Spring Creek Nursery in Freer, Texas. She enjoyed being outdoors tending to her yard and plants. Darla especially enjoyed spending time at the ranch and being surrounded by her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son Mark Lee; grandsons John Colton (Myra) Lee and Wyatt Tyler Lee; great grandson John Bridger Lee; sister, Dolores Butler, nephews John Campbell Butler and Dale Blane Butler; and niece Denise Corene Butler.

No services will be held at this time.
