PSALMS 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go”
Delaney Shea Stevie Oxford, age 32, has been called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 22, 2024. She was born on March 14, 1992, in Springfield, Missouri to Sean and Cleta Sweeney.
She was raised on her parent’s ranch where her love for animals and the outdoors led her to a career in veterinarian medicine. While studying near and far abroad she made many friends. Delaney finished her clinical year at Texas A&M University College Station and fell in love with Texas where she started her career and met her husband Patric. Delaney was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her son Houston was the light of her life, and she made sure she instilled her love of Jesus to him. Her favorite time spent was with her husband and son. They enjoyed their many trips to the lake, horseback riding, fishing and family time at home. She was dearly loved and cherished by everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sean Sweeney; maternal grandfather, Papa Rosie, and paternal grandmother Oma Relinde.
Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Patric B. Oxford; son, Houston Ellison Antonio Oxford; mother, Cleta Sweeney; sister, Mackenzie (David) Gorham; maternal grandmother, Mama Kay Romero; father and mother-in-law Philip and Mary Alice Oxford; brothers-in-law, Malachi Oxford, Talek Oxford, and Felix Oxford; and a menagerie of horses, dogs, and birds.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Houston’s education fund. (ugift529.com and enter code J2T-21G)
