Dorothy G. Kelley

Dorothy G. Kelley passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024 in Alice, Texas. She was 89 years old.

She was born January 20, 1935 in Robstown, Texas to William Wesley Whitney and Florence Oda Morland Whitney.

Dorothy spent her life in the service of others as a nurse’s aid and retired as an activity director from the nursing home. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 55 years, Tommy Kelley; parents, William and Florence Whitney; two brothers; and 6 sisters.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Connie) Kelley; daughter, Judy (Mick) Moore; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

A public viewing will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX 78332. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
