Eli Cordova, born June 8, 1967, to Adolfo and Dalia Cordova in Alice, Texas, passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 58 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Molly, by his side.
He is remembered as a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and a proud Alice Coyotes supporter. Eli proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army and as an Army Ranger. His honors include the Army Lapel Button, M16 Sharpshooter Badge, Army Achievement Medal, Parachutist Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Multinational Force and Observers Medal, and other commendations.
He worked for many years as a truck driver and later as an oil field consultant. Eli enjoyed spending time with family and friends, BBQing, watching football, and sharing stories. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Jr. and Dalia Cordova; his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Rangel; his maternal grandfather, Juan Rangel; his paternal grandmother, Maria G. Smithwick; his father-in-law, Ramon Godines Sr.; his brother-in-law, Ramon Godines Jr.; and his grandson, Gabie Hinojosa.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Molly Cordova; his sons, Florencio (Aundria) Hinojosa, Evan (Andrea) Cordova, and Esai Cordova (Cole); his daughter, Elisse (Javier) Aguilera; his sisters, Anna (Adan) Charles and Erika (Joey) Perales; his grandchildren, Noah Macias, Tike Aguilera, Maygen Hinojosa, Jae Aguilera, and Jenesis Aguilera; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Jenna Charles (Sean), Hannah Charles (Jason), Alexis L. Cordova, Adrian J. Perales, Braylee Chapa, Beau Chapa, and Zakkai Cordova-Najera.
A Visitation will be held at Holmgreen Mortuary on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M with a Veteran's Presentation with Military Honors at 6:30 PM followed by the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. All services will conclude at Holmgreen Mortuary.
