Eloy Gonzalez

It is with great sadness that the family of Eloy Gonzalez, Jr. age 74, announce his passing on Friday, October 3, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. Eloy was born on April 1, 1951, in Alice, Texas to Eloy Gonzalez, Sr. and Ernestina Perez Gonzalez. He was a deeply loved individual, cherished by his family & friends.

Eloy was an avid gardener and had a great love for nature. He found peace in the sight of mountains and streams. He enjoyed working with his hands and spending time with his family. 

Eloy is preceded in death by his wife Esmeralda Gonzalez; parents Eloy and Ernestina Gonzalez; and brothers Daniel Gonzalez and David Gonzalez. 

He is survived by his two sons, Eli Gonzalez (Aidee) of McCamey, Texas and Eloy Gonzalez III (Monica) of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren Devin Gonzalez, Elena Rosa Gonzalez, Briana Lavallee (Brandon), Angelica Coronado, Jon Gonzalez, and Eloy Diego Gonzalez; three great grandchildren Myles Lavallee, Lucia Lavallee, and Seraphina Viduya; brother Robert (Candy) Gonzalez; aunt Hortencia Gonzalez; and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas. All services will conclude at the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main Street, Alice, Texas.
