Esmeralda Gonzalez

Esmeralda Chapa Gonzalez, age 70, passed away, on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, in San Antonio, TX.  She was born on November 27, 1950, in Benavides, TX to Viterbo Chapa and Ernestina Salinas Chapa.

Esmeralda was an educator for many years who enjoyed sewing, making blankets for her family members, playing board and card games, and especially having family gatherings.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 50 years, Eloy Gonzalez, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; sons, Eloy Gonzalez III and his wife, Monica of San Antonio, TX and Eli Gonzalez and his wife, Aidee of McCamey, TX; grandchildren, Jon Felix Gonzalez, Diego Gonzalez, Briana Gonzalez, Angelica Coronado, Devin Gonzalez, and Elena Rosa Gonzalez.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Holmgreen Mortuary located at 2061 E. Main St, Alice TX, officiated by Pastor Richard Costley.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
