Ethel Annelle Cook

Ethel Annelle Cook passed away on June 26, 2025 in New York. She was 79. 

Annelle was born on June 9, 1946 in Alice, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Horace Chilton Cook Jr. and Alice Roberta Cook. 

Annelle is survived by her sister, Robbi Turpen (Stanley); niece, Ashley Ritter; great nephews, Kyle and James Ritter; fiancé, Mitchell Janewicz; cousin, Stephen Hamletl and several other cousins.

Annelle studied ballet and theater at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas from 1964-1968. During that time, she also performed at Hemisfair in San Antonio, Texas and danced in production at Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth, Texas. 

In 1970, Annelle moved to N.Y.C. She danced in off-off Broadway productions and appeared in a couple of movies. Annelle worked for NBC Television as a production assistant and secretary. She worked for David Brinkley and Tom Snyder. Annelle also worked at the Metropolitan Opera. 

Annelle was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She also attended an Episcopal Church in N.Y.C.

Annelle was a loving grand-daughter, daughter, niece, sister, aunt, and fiancé. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
