Evangelina Acevedo Kujawski

Evangelina Acevedo Kujawski, age 85, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in Alice, TX. She was born in Yorktown, TX on April 25, 1935 to Roman and Maria Cisneros Acevedo.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Mary Catholic Church in Freer and a CCD teacher at various Catholic churches where she happened to live at the time. She was a manager of United Artist Theater for over 30 years. After retiring from them, she owned and operated a flower shop.

Evangelina enjoyed singing with Mariachis at family gatherings. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by, Cenovio Quintanilla; her parents, Roman Acevedo and Maria Cisneros Acevedo; son, Jesse Quintanilla; and seven brothers and sisters.

Evangelina is survived by her children, Linda (David) Salinas of Corpus Christi, TX, Debra Trevino of Corpus Christi, TX, Cathy (Gary) Garcia of Freer, TX, Irene (Roy) Salazar of Freer, TX, Christian Kujawski of Corpus Christi, TX, Roman Kujawski of Freer, TX; grandchildren, Mark Gonzalez, Erick Gonzalez, Vangie Pedersen, Mike Trevino, Jr., Monique Trevino, Crissy Garcia, Maricela Garcia, Johawna Salinas, La Toya Hasette, Joshua Hasette; great-grandchildren, Nia Gonzalez, Violet Gonzalez, Jaclyn Gonzalez, Ava Gonzalez, Kayla Trevino , Greyson Trevino, Luke Pedersen, Colt Pedersen, Noah Robledo, Emily Robledo, and soon to arrive in November, baby Gary Albert Garcia.  

Private Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM (family only), Wednesday, October 21, 2020 please attend via live stream at www.holmgreenlive.com. Everyone is invited to join the family for the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 801 S. Reynolds Alice, TX; you are also invited to attend via live stream at www.holmgreenlive.com. Interment will follow at New Collins Cemetery.
