Fabian Sebestian Vajdos

Fabian Sebastian Vajdos, age 93, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Agua Dulce, Texas. He was born on November 25, 1928 in Hobson, Texas to Frank A. Vajdos and Emilie Linhart Vajdos.

Fabian graduated from Karnes City High School in 1947. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked for GTE/Verizon, retiring as a line-crew foreman in 1987 after 30 years. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13683. Fabian enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, driving a tractor, working in his shop and being outdoors.

Fabian Vajdos was preceded in death by his sons, Stephen and Paul; granddaughter, Sarah; daughter-in-law, Diane Vajdos; parents, Frank and Emilie Vajdos; three brothers and 3 sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Marian Zapletal Vajdos; children; Debra Nichols and husband Bill of Agua Dulce, Carl Vajdos of Agua Dulce, Anna Grossman of Bedford, Ruth Barton and husband John of Sweet Home, David Vajdos and wife Jeannie of Agua Dulce, brothers; Mike Vajdos and wife Kay of Schertz, Casper Vajdos and wife Edna of Floresville, and Pat Vajdos and wife Joni of Luling; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Michael Nichols, Eric Nichols, Caleb Vajdos, Taylor Grossman, Chase Grossman, Phillip Barton, Nicholas Barton, Jacob Barton; Honarary pallbearers, Mike Vajdos, Casper Vajdos, Pat Vajdos, Bill Nichols, Scott Grossman and John Barton.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, TX.  A Funeral Mass will celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. Rites of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM at Karnes City Cemetery in Karnes City, Texas.
