Frank James Wall

Frank James Wall, age 67, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, October 22, 2022.  He fought a long battle with lung cancer with strength and unending courage. He was born February 13, 1955 in Pearsall, Texas to Franklin Wall, Jr and Patsy Ruth Gray.

 He graduated from Alice High School in 1973 where he played football.  After graduation he began his lifelong work in the oil field, starting as a roughneck and working his way up to vice president of Ponder Fishing Tools.  He continued to share his hands-on knowledge with colleagues as a Fishing Tools Supervisor at Energy Fishing Services.

Frank lived an uncomplicated life.  He went by several names, Bubba, Pops, Grandpa, but no matter the name used, those in his circle knew him as loyal, hardworking, determined, and strong willed.  His love for fishing brought him to live on Corpus Christi Lake, where you could find him on a boat or on the pier fishing.  He enjoyed completing puzzles and playing Yatzee, watching sci-fi or real-life criminal justice shows, and spoiling his various dogs.  He was also known for his tackle boxes and tool collection.  If he didn’t have it, you didn’t need it.

He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Wall; brother, Ben Edward Wall, and son, Jason James Wall.

Frank will be deeply missed by his wife, Arlene Wall of Sandia, Texas; mother Patsy Wall of Alice Texas; daughter, Jennifer (Greg) and granddaughter Erin McLain of Kingwood, Texas; son, Jonathan (Jill) Wall and granddaughters, Mackinzy and Emma Wall of Manitou Springs, Colorado; sister, Teresa Turner of Caddo Gap, Arkansas; brother, Fred ‘Dutch’ Wall of Alice, Texas and mother to his 2 children, Cathie Coudert of Magnolia, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St. Alice, Texas 78332.
