Gloria C. Villarreal

Gloria C. Villarreal, age 69, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Alice, TX.  She was born on July 7, 1951, in Karnes City, TX to Simon Cantu and Vicenta Maria Cantu.
Gloria will be remembered as an active church member who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs. Being with her family brought her the most joy and she loved new experiences.
Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vicenta Maria Cantu.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her loving children, Rene (Monica) Cruz, Jr. of New Braunfels, TX, Jesse (Dolly) Cruz of Alice, TX, and Dolores (Ricky) Garcia of Alice, TX; three grandsons, three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ricardo Cantu, Juan Cantu, and Jose Luis Cantu; sisters, Anita Trevino, Linda Olivarez, Maria Felix, Odelia Cantu, and Mary Jane; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and aunts.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, TX; with a Chapel Service to be held at 11:00 AM, Officiated by Spiritual Leader and son, Rene Cruz, Jr. Burial will follow at Alice Cemetery.
