Gordon Gary Younkers

Gordon Gary Younkers, age 81, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 3, 2022.Gary was born in San Fernando, California on August 19, 1941 to Gregory Gordon Younkers and Ruth Uncapher. He graduated from San Fernando High School.

Gary and Glenda were married November 6, 1965 and lived in Newhall, California. In 1972 they moved to Auburn, Alabama. Gary worked at Auburn University for over ten years.

In 1982 he answered God's call to full cime ministry. Gary earned his Bachelor's degree from Florida Baptist Theological College Over the next 40 years he served churches in Florida, Alabama and Texas. Gary loved to preach the word as well as teach Sunday School and lead Bible Study. He loved seeing souls grow in their knowledge and love for the lord.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years and 362 days Glenda Sue Murray Younkers and their three children, Craig Alan Younkers, Christine Diane Younkers Hall, John David Younkers and ten grandchildren as well as one soon to be here great granddaughter

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at West Shore Baptist Church. All Services will conclude at the church.
