Gregoria Maldonado Paiz

Gregoria Maldonado Paiz, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in Alice, Texas. She was born in Palmillas Tamps, Mexico to Venancio Maldonado Nino and Pabla Ricardo Posada on May 9, 1931.

Gregoria loved cooking, gardening, visiting with friends, doing embroidery, and drawing. She was very cheerful, outgoing, and friendly. Gregoria was also very giving, lovable, and easy going. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jesus Paiz; her 4 sisters Petra, Thomasita, Juanita and Rosa Maldonado Ricardo; and her brother Felix Maldonado Ricardo.

Gregoria is survived by her daughters Dora Paiz, and Carmen Paiz (Rogelio Bueno Jr.);  her grandson David Rene Perez; and her sister Marcelina Maldonado Ricardo.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with A Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main Street Alice, TX 78332. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 801 S. Reynolds St. Alice, TX  followed by Christian Burial at Roberson Collins Cemetery in Alice, TX.
