Guadalupe Mireles, a faithful servant of God, a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother entered eternal rest on June 18, 2025 at the age of 78, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on February 04, 1947 to Zaragoza and Martina Garcia in Hidalgo, Mexico, Guadalupe dedicated her life to caring for her family and serving her faith. Her heart was rooted in love, service, and unwavering devotion to the Catholic Church.
A longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, she was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas humbly served as a Eucharistic Minister, bringing the Body of Christ to others with reverence and compassion. She was also a Cursillista. Her faith was not just practiced it was lived daily through her generous spirit and tireless volunteer work within the church and community. Guadalupe spent many years working at St. Vincent, and Works of Mercy, where her kindness and gentle nature touched the lives of all. She was married in 1969 to her lovely husband for 55 years. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless hospitality. She found joy in simple pleasures family dinners, Sunday Mass, tending to her home, and lifting others up through prayer and encouragement.
She is survived by her husband Jose Luis Mireles, daughters Rosalinda Mireles (Jasper Meza) and Melinda Mireles (Daniel Figueroa), grandchildren Melinda (Roberto) Villarreal, Mariha (Mateo Gonzalez) Perez, Victoria Figueroa, Jacqueline Figueroa, Leslie Fischer, Taylor Fischer, and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 Holy Rosary will be recited at 11:30AM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00PM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Alice, TX.
Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
