James "Ryan" Brandt

James “Ryan” Brandt, age 38, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was born April 2, 1984, in Robstown, TX to Jimmy Brandt and Cathy Wilbanks.

Ryan was a remarkable hardworking man, devoted husband, and father. As well as a great son, brother, loyal friend, and father figure to many.  Ryan was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, ride horses, and work on his ranches. He had many friends, and never met a stranger. To know Ryan was to love him. He was a true cowboy and loved teaching his son those ways. Ryan loved his wife and son more than anything in this world. His warm smile, sense of humor, and huge heart will be missed by all who knew him. 

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Brandt; grandparents, Bill and Rita Stanley, Cecil and Gwen Brandt; uncle, Ken Stanley, and cousin, Kyle Stanley. 

He is greatly missed by his wife, Mary Kay Brandt and their son, Colton Brandt; mother, Cathy (Ronnie) Wilbanks; mother-in-law Mary (Randy) Conrad; brother, Clint Brandt; sisters, Crystal (Les) Heddlesten, Theresa (Kenny) Arledge, Anita Mize, Crystal Mize and numerous family members and friends.

Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St, Alice, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Holmgreen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Wayne Wise, Bryce Patterson, Kenny Arledge, Nathan Austin, Shane Brandt and Walker Strait. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Lee Doty Jr., Kerby Lewis and Josh Jurecek.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
