James William Gould

James William “Jim” Gould passed away peacefully at his home in Sandia, Texas, on
June 6, 2025, with his beloved wife, Marilyn Joan Gould, by his side.

Born on October 31, 1935, to Ross and Helen Gould in Muscatine, Iowa, and raised in
Bloomfield, Iowa, Jim lived a full and meaningful life marked by curiosity, dedication, and
warmth. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University before proudly
serving in the U.S. Army, where he further developed his skills and passion for geology.

Jim brought that passion into his life’s work, enjoying every moment out on the oil lease and
running GGG Oil alongside Marilyn. A Master Mason, he was deeply committed to both his
work and the people around him. Those who knew Jim remember him as a loving husband, a
loyal brother, and a great friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Joan Gould, and his sister, Marilyn Jean Gould. Jim's
steadfast spirit, sharp mind, and kind heart will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of
knowing him.
