Jane Stehle

Jane Burkhardt Stehle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 7, 1944, Jane lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and compassion. She was a devoted wife to the late William Stehle and the heart of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was endless and evident in every moment she spent with them.

Jane is survived by her three sons, Jason Stehle (Michele), Aaron Stehle (Diana), and Adam Stehle (Gina), who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life along with numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and her legacy of love and care will live on through her family.

Jane had a long and respected career at the county auditor's office, where she was known as a dependable and thoughtful coworker. Her attention to detail and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who worked with her.

Outside of work, Jane found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her beloved puppies, watching birds from her window, and filling her home with the delicious smells of her cooking and baking. Her kitchen was always a place of warmth, laughter, and comfort.

Jane's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held by the family on Tuesday May 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX. A Funeral service will be held on May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holmgreen Mortuary followed by a Burial at Dilworth Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
