Jim Rhodes

 Jim Rhodes, from Mesa Arizona, passed away July 11, 2023 at the age of 67.  Jim was born in Lorain, Ohio on August 12th 1955 to Ivan and Josephine Rhodes. Jim enlisted in the United States Army after attending Elyria High School.

Jim’s expertise was in building and renovating large hotels and found a lot of satisfaction and enjoyed delivering an outstanding finished product. Jim was highly respected in his field by all he touched, his sincerity and high respect for everyone and ability to put things into perspective and for caring about the end result. His passions included baseball, antiques,travel and finding and polishing stones, gems and rocks that he found in his outdoor adventures. He was loved and well regarded in his neighborhood.  Jim had a calmness about him that was infectious, his kindness and respect for others will remain in our hearts forever.

Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Rhodes; son, Anthony Hall; parents, Ivan Rhodes, and Josephine Rhodes; brothers, Mark Rhodes, Patrick Rhodes, and Mike Rhodes

Jim is survived by his wife of 27 years, Annalyn Rhodes; two sons, Greg (Becky) Rhodes and Scott Rhodes both of Amherst, Ohio; three step children, Angela (Eli) Santos, of Orange Grove, TX , Jeremey (Melissa) Trumbull of San Antonio, TX  and Justin (Jessamyn) Trumbull of Las Angeles; grandchildren, Emily (Thomas) Noyola, of Corpus Christi, TX,  Brooke Ngo of Las Angeles, CA, Asia Ngo, of Orange Grove, TX,  Greg Rhodes Jr,  of Amherst, OH, Adian Rhodes of Amherst, OH, and Devan Rhodes of Amherst, OH; brothers and sisters, John (Gayle) Rhodes of Elyria, Ohio, Chris (Linda) Rhodes of Spring, Texas, Rose Ann Rhodes of Elyria, Ohio, Joe (Kathy) Rhodes of Wellington, Florida, Marie Rhodes of Elyria, Ohio; maternal uncle, Anthony Copa of Lorain, Ohio and one great grandchild, Bradley Noyola of Corpus Christi, TX

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM o Monday, July 31, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.
