JoAnn (Koerth) Eggemeyer, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 18, 1945, in Hallettsville, TX to Leslie L. and Annie A. (Pesek) Koerth.
JoAnn graduated high school and business college. She enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening, shopping, and donating to the homeless. JoAnn’s favorite color was blue. She loved yellow roses, good fried chicken, and Jim Reeves music. She once attended a Jim Reeves concert where he sang “Scarlet Ribbons” just for her. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly.
She married the love of her life, E.G. Eggemeyer, Jr. and made their home in Alice, TX. They were members of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, TX. JoAnn was a member of the St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church Angels of the Altar. E.G. and JoAnn were blessed with three beautiful daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerome Koerth.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, E.G. Eggemeyer, Jr. of Alice, TX; daughters, Leslie (Garry) Nock of Alice, TX; Shelley Juranek of Agua Dulce, TX; Aimee (Chris) Hoelscher of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Andrew (Shelby) Phillips of Orange Grove, TX; Natalie Juranek of Corpus Christi, TX; Nathan (Taylor) Hoelscher of Grapevine, TX; Claire Hoelscher of Arlington, TX; and Ryan Nock of Alice, TX; and great-grandchildren, Teagan and Tinley Phillips of Orange Grove, TX.
A Holy Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, Texas. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. All services will conclude at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
