Jo Ann Richardson was born in Mexia Texas February 17, 1944, and was called from life to rest in Alice Texas on March 1, 2025 at the age of 81. She was the oldest child of Willie and Ruthie Mae Hancock who preceded her in death. Jo Ann received her education at Victoria, High public school and professed a belief in Christ at a young age. In 1962 she moved to Alice Texas with her husband, Jesse. She worked for the Hospitality House, Nursing Home, and David, Wells, Oil and Gas until she retired.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jesse Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Richardson Sr; daughter, Michele Richardson & Annette Thompson; brothers’ Willie & Peggy Hancock and Sammy Hancock; sister, Ruth Ann & Randy Scott, 9 GrandChildren, and 27 Great GrandChildren.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main Street Alice, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Holmgreen Mortuary, followed by Christian Burial at Alice Cemetery.
