John Richard Cavazos

John Richard Cavazos, age 41, passed away on July 4, 2020. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 29, 1978 to Johnie and Aida Flores Cavazos.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father who loved spending time with his family. John was a restaurant manager for many years and was known for always making people laugh. He enjoyed working on projects around the house and was a big Chicago Bulls fan. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie Cavazos.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marie Cavazos of Alice; three children, Kasandra Cavazos, John Richard Cavazos, Jr., and Shawn Paul Cavazos all of Alice; parents, Johnie and Aida Flores Cavazos of Alice; brother, George Cavazos of Alice; sister, Vickie Cavazos; Joe Longoria of Houston, and Edward Longoria of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020; Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St, Alice, Texas. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Alice Cemetery. Masks are required to attend.
