John C. Martin

John “Jack” C. Martin, aged 69, went to see the Lord on March 5, 2022 in his home in Sandia, TX. Jack was born on March 7, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Tx to Carroll Lee and Janet Lou Martin.

He spent his childhood years in Port Aransas. Most of his time was spent on the beach fishing from a very early age. He loved was reading, especially anything history related as well as playing video games.

Jack worked 25 years, 1990-2015 as a mud logger at Precision Well Logging. He is fondly remembered by others as a humorous, hardworking, and extremely knowledgeable logger. He would always greet you with a “Good Morning” and thank you with a “thank you boss”.

Jack married Eileen Verburgt on April 12, 1991 in Corpus Christi Tx. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Janet Martin and sister, Sue Beseda.

He is survived by wife, Eileen Martin; sons, Jerry Mitchell and James (Monica) Mitchell; daughters, Jennifer McQuade and Cherie Martin; grandchildren, Leslie (Jake) Soliz, Annalee Mitchell, Justine (Daniel) Pena-Hinojosa, Summer (Allen) Bryant, Ryan Pugh (Xenna), Terry Mitchell, Seaera (Breydon) Cole, Eiras Mitchell, Taira Martin, Sydney McQuade, Eilayah Mitchell; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at West Shore Baptist Church, 150 Fm 534 Sandia, Tx 78383.
