Juan Francisco Vasquez, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Alice, TX. He was born in Ben Bolt, TX on August 22, 1940 to Seferino Vasquez and Isabel Esquivel Vasquez.
Juan married Viola on February 12, 1960 in Alice and they were happily married until the Good Lord called him home. He worked for Frito Lay for 27 years and was affectionately known as the “Frito Man”. He opened his own franchise, Toms, for over 10 years until his retirement, then later, worked for Jim Wells County for another several years.
Juan enjoyed singing, whistling, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Vasquez; parents, Seferino Vasquez and Isabel Esquivel Vasquez; brothers, Santiago Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez, and Gregorio Vasquez; sisters, Margarita Alonzo, Benita Soliz, and Elida Saenz.
Juan is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Viola Vasquez of Alice, TX; grandson, Mark Anthony Vasquez (Ruby Guajardo) of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters, Josefa (Lito) Hinojosa and Esperanza (Baldomero) Manrique both of Alice, TX
