Judy Gail Leathers

Judy Gail Leathers, age 57, a life-long resident of Alice, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2019, after a sudden illness.

She was born in Alice, Texas on August 16, 1962 to Jesse and Ann Leathers.

Judy attended Alice High School and graduated in 1980. She was the office manager for Richardson Water Well Drilling Company for the last 38 years.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gary, and her three fur babies, Maxie, Brandy, and Jenny.

Judy is survived by her loving parents, Jesse and Ann Leathers; her sister, Ginger (Mark) DeLaune of Alice, Texas; four nephews, Mark Wayne DeLaune of Alice, Texas, Chad (Lauren) DeLaune of Orange Grove, Texas, Chase DeLaune of Midland, Texas, Colin (Wendy) DeLaune of Jacksonville, Florida; two great-nieces, Paisley and Elle DeLaune both of Orange Grove, Texas; her best friend and caretaker, Connie Foster of Alice, Texas; her honorary grandson, Cameron Russell of Alice, Texas; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will remember Judy as a kind-hearted and loving person. She was willing to help anyone and everyone. She wore her heart on her sleeve and was loved for it. Judy will continue to live on in our hearts for the amazing person that she was.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice, Texas.
