Lesvia T. Benavides, age 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was born on September 16, 1963, in Alice, Texas to Ricardo and Maclovia Trevino. Lesvia gave the Alice Christian Fellowship 10 years of service acting as their church secretary and helping to run the day-to-day operations as the congregation’s local core administrator in partnership with Pastor Mario and Sister Nancy Benitez. Prior to her time with ACF Lesvia served as a medical transcriptionist for a combined collection of over 30 years for 3 separate health facilities, Alice P&S Hospital, Christus Spohn Kleberg and finally Christus Spohn Alice.
A mighty woman of God, Lesvia was a faithful servant of the Lord and performed as a member of her praise and worship team as a vocalist. Lesvia devoted her life to ministering to others about God’s love for us all and impacting others positively no matter where she went. She spent most of her free time praying consistently for her loved ones and people she knew and even those whom she did not. To Lesvia, her family and friends were her life as well as her church family. Lesvia wasn’t a mother to just her five children, but to all walks of life that needed an ear, a shoulder, a prayer, a laugh, some advice, a meal, or even a place to stay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Maclovia, and 7 siblings, Gloria, Alfredo, Guadalupe, Imelda, Arnoldo, Ricardo Jr. and Rolando Trevino.
Lesvia is survived by her 5 children, Kirsten Leigh, Adolfo Jr. (Stephany), Karigen Kelsey, Blaze Barron and Kaeden Anni Benavides and their father Adolfo G.
