Luke J. Duplantis

Luke J. Duplantis, Jr., age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home in Alice, Texas. He was born November 1, 1940 in Houma, Louisiana to Luke J. Duplantis, Sr. and Rita Mae Blanchard.

Luke worked at Patterson Rental Tools for 51 years where he started in the yard and worked his way up to Assistant Manager. He loved hunting and playing golf.

He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lola Duplantis; granddaughter, Erica Marie Foster; brother, Gilbert Duplantis and sister, Janice Duplantis.

Luke is survived by his son, Mark (Consuelo) Duplantis of Alice, Texas; daughters, Laurie (Tom) Halsey of Beeville, Texas and Linda Barnhart of Alice, Texas; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy (Margie) Duplantis of Houma, Louisiana and Charles Duplantis of Louisiana; sisters, Carolyn Brunet of Houma, Louisiana, Janet (Willie) Pelligran of Houma, Louisiana and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
