Margarita Julia Brock, age 78, has come to the end of her journey in this lifetime.
She was born on July 30, 1941, in Del Rio, Texas to Tomasita and Evaristo Morin.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Margarita was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and volunteered in various services including Trash to Treasure and Works of Mercy. She retired from Alice ISD, having worked in cafeteria services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde W. Brock; a son, Howard Brock; a sister, Nancy Villarreal and her husband Domingo, and a brother, Lazaro Morin.
She will remain in the hearts of her son, Michael (Diana) Brock of Alice; two grandchildren, Michael Anthony Brock of Alice and Kristen Dior Brock Zheng (Qing Tan) of Alice; two sisters, Esther (Cesar) Castro and Pauline (Marcelino) Soliz, both of California; one brother, Ruben (Pila) Morin of Alice; her sister-in-law, Cuca Morin of Amarillo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Alice with Monsignor Pivonka as celebrant. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Alice, Texas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
