Mary Teresa Goetzel

Mary Teresa Goetzel Passed away peacefully in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 13, 2024, at the age of 93. Mary was born November 23, 1930 in Mills, New Mexico to Adeline and John Ring.

Mary loved cooking, and baking. She loved taking care of her grandkids and traveling, especially with her husband to Elko, Nevada and Windover, Utah. Mary will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Douglas Ray Goetzel, her parents, and her sister Gladys Teehan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jimmy (Norma) Goetzel of Sinton, TX and Janice Haggerton (Frankie Eicholz) of Port Aransas, TX; grandchildren, Emily (Lucas) Lang, Christopher (D’Andrea) Goetzel, Haleigh (Collin) Almquist, and Holden (Hayley) Haggerton; great-grandchildren, Brenley Goetzel, Jensen Goetzel, Levi Lang, Tucker Lang, Evan Lang, Axel Almquist, Adelynn Almquist, Avie Almquist, Porter Haggerton, Harper Haggerton, and Ella Haggerton.

Visitation will be Monday, August 19, 2024 at Holmgreen Mortuary from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM at Alice Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
