Maurice Valentine Walker, Jr.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Maurice V. Walker, Jr. on November 14, 2023, at the age of 83, in Beeville Texas.

Maurice was born in Lockhart Texas to Maurice V. Walker and Alice Rae Walker.  Maurice was a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a Corpman. Later in his life, he was an educator, mostly teaching for the Oil & Gas Industry in Houston Texas. He often traveled to the Middle East and Europe to teach.  Maurice was an avid reader and loved to solve and give riddles and shared jokes daily.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife; Anita Barrera Walker, Sister; Ruth Walker Eison and Brother in Laws; Manuel Garcia, Mario Garcia, Robert Eison and Jimmie Davis.

He is survived by his Sister; Linda Walker Davis, his Daughters; Debbie (Steve) Marshall, Bonnie Barrera (Jim) Szilagy, Pam (Michael) Ekrot, and his Sons; Daniel Walker and Eddie Lindsey. His Grandchildren; Jason (Nicole) Ramsland, Chase Dabbs, Amber (Tim) Cortez and Allison Ekrot.  His Great Grandchildren; Jason Ramsland, Jr., Troy Ramsland, Robert Anthony Perez and Aria Cortez.  He is also survived by his significant other, Marie Matherly, Brother and Sisters In Laws; Ruben Garica, Romeo (Betty) Garcia, Delores (Rick) Fenters and Maria Arredondo.  As well as his Niece and Nephew, Ruth Davis Cox and Matthew Davis.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas 78332.
