Michael Terrell age 74, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 8, 2020. He was born in Alice, Texas on November 15, 1945 to George and Dessie Boles Terrell.
He began his oil field career at Flournoy Drilling, and worked his way up to becoming an Independent Consultant. After his retirement, Michael enjoyed life on the lake, fishing, and drinking coffee while watching the sunrise. He thoroughly enjoyed long rides on his Harley. He coached little league baseball for 27 years, and was known by many of his past baseball players as "Coach", even after so many years.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Monique Terrell Garcia, siblings, George Terrell, Gene Terrell, Sylvester “Bill” Terrell, Jim Terrell, and son-in-law, Albert Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Terrell of Sandia, Texas; three children, Yvette (Albert +) Terrell Johnson of Alice; Michelle Terrell (Marcos Garcia) of Benbolt, Texas; Michael Terrell II of Sandia; grandchildren, Joshua (Katie) Johnson, Brittany (Travis) Rouleau, Justin Johnson, Brian Bradley, Tyler Dudycha, Eva Monique Barrera, Victoria Garcia, Tynnlee Terrell; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Terrell of Alice; Jack Terrell of Tennessee; and five sisters, Dessie (Boots) Johnson of Boerne, Texas; Joyce Whitfield of Midland, Texas; Pat Barker of Grapeland, Texas; Carlyn McWhorter of Mathis, Texas; and Darlyn Bauch of Mathis.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Holmgreen Mortuary, Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at The Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Armando Cavada officiating. Burial will follow at Alice Cemetery.
